▸ TVB 2012 Anniversary Awards-Best Drama
o.0 so many i’m not sure i want to write something for every single one .__.
- When Heaven Burns <天與地>-i didn’t watch it >_<
- Bottled Passion <我的如意狼君>-i didn’t watch it >_<
- Wish and Switch <換樂無窮>- i liked this drama it was funny and had a good message to it. i really liked the comedy at the beginning but then in the end it got so serious and i was like well that was unexpected.
- L’Escargot <缺宅男女>- was another one of those dramas where before it aired i was like this looks interesting i’m going to watch it! but then when it actually airs i’m just like oh. maybe my expectations are too high? i watched it while it was airing and their own family basically got onto m nerves. i kept on going like why would you do that?!!!!! but i liked how to explored the idea of how hk has serious housing problems. and they brought in the political topic of mainlanders stealing all the hospital beds and all. i shall re watch this whole drama properly in the near future
- Let It Be Love <4 in Love>- this was another one of those dramas were i was like looks interesting, but then turns out to be mediocre. I’ll have to say TVB does have some very new and interesting concept sometimes just the way the execute it is a bit repetitive? i mean i don’t mind them having their own style cause it makes them unique. but maybe it’s time to try something new? but yeah. i was so excited cause TVB rarely does stories based purely on love. as much as i can’t stand cheesiness but it’s just such a sub topic to TVB that i got excited XD but the good thing about the drama was that all the 4 stories linked together subtly but it was also easy to reconise bonds between different storylines.
- The Hippocratic Crush <On Call 36小時>-MY BIAS!!! obviously. the drama had good life lessons, yes i love them! because everyone knows you learn life lessons from watching tv. it gave off a sweet feeling between Yu Jai and Yut Kin Tou <3 it managed to build up suspense which toned down in the right time frame near the end. it wasn’t a sudden ending which was good :) i liked how they didn’t just solely focus on the main leads, but also on other sub characters but not too draggy that we forgot what actually happened to people when the switch between the different lines. this drama has a high chance of winning but there is quite some strong competition based on popularity.
- Queen of Hearts and Diamonds <東西宮略>never finished watching this properly either (i’m so bad :() and you know this was another drama i was looking forward to, but then i got lazy chasing it every night, then i just stopped watching. my dedication’s 0 >_< sorry guys i’ll work harder at keeping up next year (i always say that OTL) it was ok at the beginning but since i didn’t watch a substantial amount i can’t really comment much. i shall watch this one as well XD but i highly doubt this drama’s going to win with all the competition out there.
- Daddy Good Deeds <當旺爸爸>-This wasn’t a drama that i was really anticipating. but it surprised me. no prize for guessing i like good comedies :) even though there was like no prominent set story line it was a relaxing thing to watch at the end of a tiring day. it almost felt like i was watching a shorter version of a sitcom :)
- The Greatness of Hero <盛世仁傑>- i wasn’t even interested at the least >_< i think i’m over ancient dramas for the moment. sorry
- Gloves Come Off <拳王>-at the beginning i was like KEVIN CHENG! BIAS! then i saw raymond wong (it’s not that i hate him or anything, just that i’m not that keen on seeing him on screen) but i was like meh still giving this a try for various reasons. and then it just got too draggy for me. so i just stopped. though kevin’s relationship with his son <3 but that’s another story. i shall re watch this in the near future
- House of Harmony and Vengeance <耀舞長安>-this might be slightly biased, but i do dancing so i like dancing dramas? lol anyways it’s been a long time in which TVB has shown it’s dancing skills in a drama. i think the last time must have been steps? and as much as i would have liked them to show more dancing they didn’t which is probably mainly because the artists aren’t professional dancers. since TVB=no auditions for roles. but i think they did ok. but in terms of best drama, i don’t think it’s popular enough. or deep enough as matter of fact.
- Come Home Love <愛.回家>-um, i kinda gave up after a few episodes, because i’m too impatient to constantly chase the next episode, so i’m probably going to watch after it all finishes airing. lol 300 episodes XD
- Master of Play <心戰>-apparently this drama’s pretty deep like when heaven burns. i think i would’ve enjoyed it if i wasn’t such a scaredy cat XD but since alot of housewives kind of object to scary stuff it probably isn’t that intensly popular.
- No Good Either Way <衝呀!瘦薪兵團>-this drama was so so. it wasn’t under developed, but it wasn’t a drama which held everyone’s attention for very long.
- Tiger Cubs <飛虎>-this drama was quite amazing. considering all the props and stuff you can imagine how much TVB invested in this drama. although i don’t know SDU stuff very well at the least it seemed realistic. and it was full of action every episode. which is something that is rarely seen on TVB.
- Witness Insecurity <護花危情>-this was the drama with the most viewers before the confident and SSSS. i’m not too sure after the finale last night. but it kind of feel like this drama’s popularity is so fan girl based! i mean sure i enjoyed the drama and all. but really in terms of substantial storyline other than linda getting better, and paul getting arrested. nothing else really important happened.
- Three Kingdoms RPG <回到三國>-i’ll have to say the drama sort of had a trend of interesting—>boring—>starts getting interesting again. i guess it was kind of draggy. but i watched patiently because i wasn’t too familiar with chinese history at the time so i wasn’t sure how things were supposed to work. but thanks to the drama i know heaps more now :)
- Ghetto Justice 2 <怒火街頭2>-ok the sequel wasn’t worse than the previous. but maybe it’s because it’s no longer a surprise to us and that we’ve gotten used to it. it seemed like the couple’s relationship just dwindled for a long time, but it wasn’t tooo draggy. but there was quite decent acting and i did enjoy this drama :)
- King Maker <造王者>-i didn’t watch it
- Divas in Distress <巴不得媽媽…>-definitely enjoyable and had a good message to it about dooms day and what the most important things are in life. but best drama? i think there are other dramas out there.
- The Last Steep Ascent <天梯>-i barely watched 15minutes of a random episode.
- Highs and Lows <雷霆掃毒>- to me this maybe one of the strongest competitors against THC. yeah i know what about the anniversary dramas? yeah i’m sure a lot of people are going to like them. but to me they carry a very weird storyline. so i’m not too sure. i mean it’s probably good, but since i gave up on them kind of early-ish on can’t really comment. but since highs and lows has raymond in it (which matters to a lot of people) has kate being the drug queen. the chances of the popularity making it win are pretty high. i mean the storyline developed quite thoroughly so yeah.
- Silver Spoon, Sterling Shackles <名媛望族>-didn’t watch enough. but as m friend told me, funny how they all marry peasants even though they are rich.
- The Confidant <大太監>-gave up very early on >_<
